The Federation of Camera Clubs (FCC) hosts two annual competitions – an interclub competition and TopShot – an individual competition open to all members of camera clubs that belong to the FCC.

...In last month’s F/Stop we announced that the FCC was intending to run judges courses this year as a first step in developing new judges available to clubs.
The initial course will be held in Sydney at the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club on the 28th and 29th of September. The course is intended for experienced photographers who are considering becoming judges and are interested in supporting and encourage club members in the development of their photographic skills, as well as support local clubs by doing this. Becoming a judge can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience. The course will be run over the 2 days of a weekend.
The first day will include presentations on the skills required to evaluate, critique and present while judging images at a club. The second day usually involves some elements of public speaking and exercises in image assessment.
