To assist Camera Clubs to provide a positive environment in which to learn about photography and develop photographic skills through competition, presentations, and social activity; provide coordination, and a basis for interaction, between Camera Clubs and promote the amateur photographic movement generally.
All Clubs are reminded that the 2024 NSW InterClub competition closes this weekend on Sunday, 6th October 2024 at 11:59 PM.
So far, Clubs across NSW have entered some very exciting photographs using the new FCC competition categories. For details on how to enter, see https://fccinterclub.myphotoclub.com.au.

Ray Williams, who was well known to many people around NSW as a member of the FCC, as President of the Hornsby Camera Club, as an FCC photographic judge and as a photography teacher, passed away suddenly on 20 September, 2024.
Ray had more than 35 years’ experience as commercial photographer working as a wedding photographer, for companies such as BT and British Home Stores in the UK, and for companies such as the NRMA, Commonwealth Bank, and Subway Restaurants in Australia.
Ray was a strong supporter of the view that all people can create beautiful photos with the right support. He loved sharing his knowledge and expertise with budding photographers. His commitment to education was recognised by the Rotary Organisation which honoured him for his contribution to photography education.
As an FCC judge, Ray developed a well-deserved reputation for being an enthusiastic, considerate and positive judge, giving valuable feedback to beginners and experienced photographers alike.
He will be missed by all who knew him, especially the members of his beloved Hornsby Camera Club.
Ray is survived by his wife Jayne and their children Daniel, Shanel and Tiffany.
Many Clubs had booked Ray in as a judge. If there are any problems finding a replacement, please contact nswfccsecretary@gmail.com.

There is some confusion in some Clubs about (i) how to become a member of the FCC and (ii) how to get insurance cover. Please check which of the following applies to your Club.
YOUR CLUB HAS NOT RECEIVED THE FCC MEMBERSHIP AND INSURANCE FORM
If your Club has not received the FCC Form covering membership and insurance, or the Form has gone missing, please contact the FCC Treasurer immediately at nswfcctreasurer@gmail.com.
YOUR CLUB HAS RECEIVED THE FCC MEMBERSHIP FORM, BUT NOT SENT IT TO THE FCC
Please send your Membership form to the FCC Treasurer (nswfcctreasurer@gmail.com) ASAP. It is important you record (i) the number of members in your Club; (ii) whether you want public liability insurance (which costs $4.50 per member); and (iii) if your Club would like more information about personal injury insurance to protect your members on outings or at Club meetings.
If you are interested in the new personal injury protection (cost around $3.50 per person), the FCC will contact you later with details so you can make a decision.
YOUR CLUB HAS SENT ITS MEMBERSHIP FORM, AND IS WAITING FOR AN INVOICE
When the FCC receives your Membership Form, it will send your Club an Invoice. This will happen over the coming weeks. Please wait because it takes time for the FCC to process 80 or so membership forms.
The Invoice will list the cost of (i) FCC Membership and (ii) the fee for the Public Liability Insurance cover. The insurance cost is $4.50 per person – the same as last year. Note: The total cost of Public Liability Insurance to your Club is calculated at $4.50 multiplied by the number of your members. If your membership numbers have increased from last year, the total cost of the insurance this year will increase. On the other hand, if the number of members in your Club has dropped since last year, the total cost will drop.
YOUR CLUB HAS PAID THE INVOICE, AND IS WAITING FOR YOUR CERTIFICATE OF CURRENCY
When you have paid the FCC Invoice, you will be sent your Certificate of Currency as proof you have public liability insurance. Note: If you have asked for information about personal injury insurance cover for your members, the FCC will send the information to you after all Membership Fees and Public Liability charges are finalised.
